THANK YOU TED !

In late 2002 BTN lost it's the first and founder Chairman Ted Watts. His death came in a tragic car accident on the A12 in late 2002. As founder and guiding light Ted Watts had only recently won a Brentwood Council Civic award for his services to the town and it's community. For more then twenty years Ted had acted as group chairman. A role he had held since the time back in the 1970's when had gathered a number of like minded local folk around him to set up this service that today records a weekly news tape and a monthly audio magazine cassettes for almost 160 blind or impaired sight in Brentwood and Ongar. Ted will much missed by all who knew and worked with him on this, his pet project
